2 8 SEPTEMBER 29, 1995 ST. LOUIS POST- DISPATCH 9C OBITUARIES Julian V. Jackson, Retired Businessman Julian V. "Jack" Jackson, a retired businessman, Scout leader and volunteer, died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 1995) at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country.

He had suffered from Parkinson's disease. He was 76 and lived in Manchester. With his wife, Roberta Jackson, Mr. Jackson owned Ye Olde Print Shop Inc. in Glendale for 13 years.

sold the business and retired in 1992. He was born and raised in St. Louis. He graduated from Maplewood High School and attended what is now the University of Missouri at Rolla. During World War II, he was a mechanical design engineer for Emerson Electric Co.

After that, he sold advertising for the Thayer Co. He served for many years as a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America and as a coach of Khoury League teams. He received several awards from the Boy Scouts, including the Scoutmaster's Key, the Scouter's Award, the Vigil of Honor and the Silver Beaver Award. Patricia Pointer; Co -owner Of Restaurant Patricia Louise Lang Pointer, coowner of the Lemp Mansion Restaurant Inn in St. Louis, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 1995) at her home in St. Louis after suffering from cancer. She was 66.

In 1977, Mrs. Pointer and her family started the Lemp Mansion Restaurant. In 1991, the family opened the inn on the restaurant's second floor. Mrs. Pointer was active in the business until her death.

A funeral service will be at noon Monday at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, Affton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Mrs. Pointer was married for 46 years to Richard D.

Pointer; he died last year. Among the survivors are three daughters, Mary Wolff of House Springs, Irene Few of Tampa, and Patty Pointer of St. Louis; five sons, Mike Pointer of Caseyville, and Dick Pointer, Paul Pointer, Grant Pointer and Matt Pointer, all of St. Louis; a brother, Robert Lang of New Haven; and 15 grandchildren. Sister Mary Franklin; Teacher, Minister Sister Mary Franklin, a teacher and parish minister, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday (Sept.

27, 1995) at Barnes Hospital. She was 64. Sister Franklin was born in Hannibal, Mo. She received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Fontbonne College and a master's degree in mathematics from St. Louis University.

She entered the order of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1948 and professed her final vows in 1956. She taught for 30 years at elementary schools in St. Louis and Ste. Genevieve, and in Wisconsin.

She was also a registrar at Fontbonne College. She was a parish minister and pastoral associate from 1986 to 1993. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 2653 Ohio Avenue.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Kutis Funeral Home, 2906 Gravois Avenue, with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Among the survivors are three sisters, Betty Ley and Kay Boll, both of Quincy, and Dorothy Young of Howe, Texas. Sadona Pollack Masters; Former Teacher Sadona Pollack Masters, a former teacher, died Thursday (Sept.

28, 1995) at Barnes Hospital after a long illness. She was 77 and lived in Ladue for 42 years. Mrs. Masters was born and reared in 1 St. Louis.

She graduated from Soldan High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 1939 from Washington University. In the 1940s and 1960s, she taught high school in the Normandy and University City school districts. She also wrote advertising copy for WIL radio station in the 1940s. In the early 1970s, she also sold real estate. During World War II, she was honored by the government for volunteer service to the Army.

He is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Haimann and Shirley Muchnic; and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a lifetime resident of St. Louis and attended Washington University Medical School. He was a board certified Internist Chief of the Out-Patient Clinic at Missouri Pacific Hospital until his retirement in 1975.

He was also on the staff of Jewish Hospital and had a private medical practice and worked for the American Heart Assn. His first wife, Grace Levin Treiman died in 1975. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 1, 1995 at May Chapel, Temple Israel at 4:30 pm. The family requests any memorial gifts be made to the American Heart Assn.
