Fields was hospitalized of a heart condition two weeks ago. He had suffered a heart attack and underwent heart surgery earlier this year. THE CITY'S manpower planner since mid-1970, Mr. worked out of Mayor Wildiam D. Dyke's office and administered a variety of federal and city programs, with particalar emphasis on the unemployed.

MAYOR DYKE expressed personal regret" at the news of Mr. Field's death. "Bill Fields' ceaseless endeavors in federal manpower programs involving unemployed, underemployed, and disadvantaged were in the best tradition to total selfless commitment to the community he served," the mayor said. Allie Ward, 76, DeSoto, died Thursday (Oct. 21, 1971) in a Viroqua hospital. She was the former Allie Guist. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bernadine Brocklehurst, -DeSoto; a son, Seward, Genoa; a- brother, Tom, Readstown; three sisters, Mrs.

Clara Erickson, Arlington Heights, Mrs. James Lawton, Viroqua; and Cecilia, Readstown; five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Edward Weiland KENDALL Edward J. Wei- land, 77, died Wednesday (Oct. 20, 1971) in a Hillsboro hospital after a brief illness. He was a lifelong Kendall resident and a retired area farmer. Surviving are a brother, Kendall; and four sisters, Mrs.

Mrs. Louise Rapacz FRIENDSHIP Mrs. Louise R. Rapacz, 86, Big Flats, died Wednesday (Oct. 20, 1971) in a hospital after an illness.

The former Louise Kalka was a native of Poland and was married in 1907 to Stanley Rapacz in Chicago, Ill. He died in .1957. He was the founder and president of the Western Container Corp. in Beloit and was associated with the paper industry for 60 years. He retired as the firm's director and president in 1970. Mr. Zimmerman had been a Beloit resident for 17 years.

Surviving are his wife, May; a daughter, Mr. Vivian Lemm, Beloit; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Wendler Funeral Home, Milwaukee, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday.
