PRICING & CONTRACTING MANAGER

You play a key role in coordinating and supporting pricing and contracting strategies and tactics across our portfolio with your colleagues in Market Access in Finland. As a Pricing & Contracting Manager, you drive and coordinate tender processes and contracting in Finnish market. You are responsible for designing pricing strategies and tactics for our products that are part of the reference price system, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

You analyze the market and price trends and make data-driven suggestions on pricing and contracting in close collaboration with our commercial functions and with your colleagues in Market Access in Finland and with our area and global organization. Your proactive working style and excellent negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders help you thrive in this role. You stay up-to-date of the changes in regulatory and access environment.

Your key areas of responsibility are:

  • Analyze pricing and market trends and ensure the implementation of optimal, data-driven pricing and contracting strategies.
  • Facilitate internal business cases of different price scenarios to ensure sustainable pricing and act as the local Pricing Champion.
  • Be local subject matter expert of public procurement and contracting and coordinate tendering processes within the Finnish affiliate.
  • Negotiate and implement tendering and contracting with relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and implement activities for our products within the scope of reference price system and pharmacy substitution.
  • Monitor the commercial performance of our base product portfolio with Finance and commercial team, identify opportunities and make data-driven proposals.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders such as Pricing Board and procurement units.
  • Monitor and anticipate changes in the regulations regarding market access and especially, reference price system, risk-sharing and public procurement.

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Applicable higher Scientific Education degree (e.g. M.Sc. Economics or another applicable field).
  • Proven track record of similar, pricing & contracting roles in Pharmaceuticals and devices.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think holistically and, on the other hand, to pay attention to the necessary details.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and interaction skills and the ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A fast learner with an interest in new technologies and tools.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience with the reference price and reimbursem*nt system for medicines as well as public procurement for medicines and devices is an advantage.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented team player who values other people regardless of different backgrounds.
  • Fluent Finnish and English as a requirement for language proficiency.
