How to calculate the land area? ›

All you need to do is measure the length and the width in feet. Once this is done, multiply the length in feet with the width in feet to measure the size of the land. One square foot converts to 144 square inches.

You can also easily calculate the acreage of your land by giving the square feet. You will take your land square feet and divide it by 43,560. For example, if you have a piece of land that is 550,000 square feet, you will divide it by 43,560, which equals 12/6 acres.
