Post subject: EA/Origin DLC Unlocker - DLC unlockers for EA clients

Note: this tool needs a fake config with unlocked DLCs to work. If you own a game that's not listed below and/or DLCs for that game - read the "If you want to help" section at the end of this post!

With this tool you can unlock DLCs for your legit game. Some DLCs require additional files. You won't be able to download them through Origin/EA app/Steam (unless you actually buy them), you need to use the links below!

EA DLC Unlocker v2 (Windows & Linux; Origin and EA app)
For older version see the post below. Features:
- DLC unlocking
- bypassing region locks for game languages no longer works because now EA does the check in EA app, not in the game itself; as a workaround you can get the game from Steam or Epic Games - the only downside is that you will have to use two game launchers at once, because they still run the game through EA app

Installation instructions:
0. Download and extract EA DLC Unlocker. (Special note for Sims players since googling "how to extract 7z file" is too hard for some of you - install 7-zip or WinRAR, right click on the downloaded file and select "Extract here". Depending on your options it may be under "7-zip" or "WinRAR" submenu.)
1. Run "setup.bat". (Special note for Sims players since I'm tired of hearing "but how do I run the setup.bat file?" - the same way you run any program or game on your PC - by double clicking on it.)
2. Select "Install" to install the Unlocker. The script automatically detects if you have EA app or Origin installed. If you have both it will detect EA app only and game started from Origin won't have the DLCs unlocked! If this happens reinstall Origin and run the script again or use the manual installation instructions in the readme file.
3. Select "Add/Update game config" and select the game.
4. Download DLC files if needed - see the links below. (Special note for Sims players - YES, you need the DLC files. DLC Unlocker doesn't download anything.)

If your DLCs suddenly stop working - it's because EA app updated and removed the DLC Unlocker. So simply install it again.

On Linux the only difference is that you run "setup_linux.sh" (try double clicking on it - if that doesn't work run it from the terminal) and if you have multiple wine/proton prefixes with EA app installed - you select which one to use. Then you get the same menu as on Windows, so follow the instructions above from the second step forwards.

Uninstallation instructions:
1. Run "setup.bat".
2. Select "Uninstall".

Updates and new DLCs:
When a game gets a new DLC check if I added it to the Unlocker. There's a changelog in the second post of this thread. If it's a DLC for The Sims 4 then the game config should automatically update when you restart Origin/EA app. If it's a DLC for a different game - redownload the Unlocker and add the game config again. You can enable/disable automatic config updates in "config.ini" file.

No matter what game it is for - check if you need to download the DLC files. For The Sims 4 each Pack and Kit requires DLC files.

When a game gets a new update - just update it. No need to touch the Unlocker.
When Origin gets a new update - just update it. No need to touch the Unlocker.
When EA app gets a new update - update it and install the Unlocker again.

For games on Steam - if it says "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA online activation and EA app software installation and background use required" on the Steam store page - this DLC Unlocker will work. If it doesn't say that - then it won't work.

EA DLC Unlocker for Mac (Mac only; EA app only)
I call it DLC Unlocker but it's closer to a crack. Your game won't use the same account as logged into EA app. In fact, EA app is used only to launch the game. Then the game connects to my Origin Emulator, as if it was cracked. To connect to The Sims 4 gallery you need to start the DLC Unlocker online and then follow the instructions. This isn't a native Mac app. It's a Wineskin wrapper that runs my Origin Emulator.

Usage instructions:
0. Download and extract the ZIP archive - use default extraction tool, extract by double clicking on the ZIP archive.
1. Download DLC files if needed - see the links above. (Special note for Sims players - YES, you need the DLC files. DLC Unlocker doesn't download anything.)
2. Exit/Quit EA app. Closing the window is not the same.
3. Run the Wineskin wrapper (anadius tools app).
4. Click on "Run DLC Unlocker for <game name>".
5. Run EA app.
6. Run the game.

What to do when new DLCs are not unlocked (The Sims 4):
This DLC Unlocker uses the same emulator config as my crack for The Sims 4. And since the game never talks to EA app - I add all DLC IDs I know of, even those for future DLCs. That means it will be quite a while before this happens to you. The easiest way to fix it is to redownload the wrapper. And if you don't want to redownload that much - run the wrapper and click on "Open the folder with tools". Then go to "DLC Unlocker" and then "The Sims 4". You need to replace "anadius.cfg" file in this folder. You can get the newest one from my crack, which you can find in the second post of The Sims 4 thread.

Origin DLC Unlocker v1 (Windows & Mac; Origin only)
Older version of the Unlocker. Still maintained because that's the only way for Mac players to play a native version with pirated DLCs.

0. Download and extract Origin DLC Unlocker.
1. Exit/Quit Origin. Closing the window is not the same.
2. Run "fix OriginClient.command" (Mac)/"fix libeay32.bat" (Windows). (Special note for Sims players - just double click on it...)

(Mac) If you get an error stating the file comes from an unidentified developer - right click that file and select "Open".
(Mac) If you get an error stating you don't have appropriate access priviliges - make the script file executable [[Please login to see this link.]].

3. Run "add fake entitlements.command" (Mac)/"add fake entitlements.bat" (Windows) and do what it says.
4. Download DLC files if needed - see the links in the post above. (Special note for Sims players - YES, you need the DLC files. DLC Unlocker doesn't download anything.)

Uninstallation instructions:
1. Run "delete entitlements.command" (Mac)/"delete entitlements.bat" (Windows).
2. Redownload Origin app (Mac)/reinstall Origin (Windows).

Updates and new DLCs:
When a game gets a new DLC check if I added it to the Unlocker. There's a changelog below. Redownload the Unlocker and repeat step 3. Then check if you need to download the DLC files. For The Sims 4 each Pack and Kit requires DLC files.

When a game gets a new update - just update it. No need to touch the Unlocker.
When Origin gets a new update - update it and repeat step 2.

Can i still do this if i used the repack while having the base game? Or would i have to delete certain files.

yungmuskrat if you want to have access to the gallery and download updates straight from Origin then yes. Read the third post of The Sims 4 thread.

JacksonDunning yes, this allows you to play the legit game with pirated DLCs. IDK what you want me to explain, instructions tell you exactly what to do.

svuki delete the crack files first (codex.cfg, OrangeEmu64.dll, TS4_x64.exe in Game\Bin, codex.cfg, OrangeEmu.dll, TS4.exe in Game\Bin_LE) then open Origin, right click on the game, "Locate Game" and select the folder where it is installed. And follow the steps above.

The expansions are not detected when runnin the game on origin, but are when runnin the cracked exe. What could I be doing wrong?

I get an error during Step 3. I opened my game, closed it when it got to the main menu, and closed Origin (origin.exe and Origin Web Helper Service). When I pressed any key in the command terminal, it would say:
Chosen config: The Sims 4

Access is denied.
Script failed at the step 1. Report this problem.

Press any key to continue . . .

I went and checked the checksum of the libeay32.dll in the Origin folder and it says c20e80ff, so I'm assuming that it's not the problem.
