Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Manchester United from Juventus with huge expectations and he has proved a key figure during his second spell at the club in the Premier League and Champions League.
Despite the Red Devils languishing well behind Manchester City and Liverpool in the title race, the Portugal captain has still managed to score 21 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions this season, as well as notching three assists.
Now 37, he will be hoping to reach the 25-goal mark during United's remaining Premier League fixtures, and he will no doubt be relishing a trip to what could be his final World Cup as a player when he leads Portugal in Qatar at the showpiece starting in November.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United have six games left in their Premier League campaign as they seek to earn a place in the Champions League, Europa League or Europa Conference League.
Ralf Rangnick's men still have to face some top teams if they are going to finish in the top four, with particularly tricky games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea ahead of them.

United will start their game at Anfield on Tuesday in fifth spot in the Premier League table, three points behind Tottenham, who occupy the final Champions League qualification place.
Ronaldo's hat trick inspired United to a nervy 3-2 victory over relegation-threatened Norwich City at Old Trafford on April 16, and they will also host Brentford and visit Brighton and Crystal Palace before the season is out.

Are Ronaldo's Manchester United in any cup competitions?
Manchester United have been knocked out of theFA Cup and EFL Cupin the 2021-22 season, suffering surprise early exits at home in both competitions.
Championship side Middlesbrough embarrassed Ronaldo and his team-mates by winning at United on penalties in the fourth round of the FA Cup, and Premier League rivals West Ham dumped them outof the EFL Cup in the third round with the only goal of the game.

A prolific Ronaldo performed heroics to help United progress to the Champions League knockouts by finishing top of a group that included Villarreal — who have since reached the semi-finals — Atalanta and Young Boys.
Ronaldo played every minute of United's Round-of-16 clash with Atletico Madrid but could not score as his side slid out of the competition courtesy of a 1-0 home defeat in the second leg following a 1-1 draw in Spain.
Ronaldo's Portugal schedule in 2022
After qualifying to the 2022 FIFA World Cup via playoff victories over Turkey and North Macedonia, Ronaldo is set to be a key player in Qatar for a side that will be considered a dark horse at the finals in November and December.
There is also a new Nations League campaign to take care of in June and September, when Portugal will be able to carry out rigorous preparations for the World Cup against Spain, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea await Portugal in a tricky-looking Group H.
