Why won t Adobe Fonts work? ›

Toggle the Adobe Fonts setting

If the fonts are not added, try turning off the font option in Creative Cloud, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. Open the menu from the gear icon at the top of Creative Cloud desktop. Choose Services, and then toggle Adobe Fonts to turn it off and back on.

You can add as many fonts as you'd like, but we recommend keeping your added fonts list short to optimize performance. Every font you remove is tracked in your Previously Added tab, so you can easily add them again at any time.

Yes. You can use the fonts for any kind of merchandise, whether you're designing a t-shirt for a friend or product packaging for a client. Other printed products, such as books or magazines, are permitted as well. There is no limitation on the number of impressions or items you may produce.

As announced in January 2021, support for all Type 1 fonts in Adobe products is ended after January 2023. Users no longer have the ability to author content using Type 1 fonts in updated Adobe products.

In order to add fonts, you have to be signed in to the Creative Cloud desktop application with a named-user Creative Cloud subscription. It isn't possible to add fonts with a device or site-wide Creative Cloud license. As of Fall 2022, Adobe offers three different access levels for Adobe Fonts.

You can't. The whole point of "Adobe Fonts", the subscription package, is that they don't live on your computer, but are loaded from Creative Cloud, and you never have a copy of the font file. You'll need to license the fonts another way. You can't.

How long does it take for Adobe Fonts to activate? ›

When you activate and deactivate fonts, those changes can take up to ten minutes to take effect. You can only activate only a limited number of fonts at a time.

In the Manage fonts drop-down list on Adobe Fonts, you can open the Fonts panel in the Creative Cloud desktop app or open the web project editor to manage your created web projects. You can also access any fonts you've favorited or purchased.

Once activated, the fonts will automatically download to your computer, making them available in your apps for use. As long as the Creative Cloud desktop app is running on your PC or Mac, the fonts you've activated will download automatically.

You can embed or substitute fonts in Acrobat or when you export an InDesign document to PDF. You can embed the entire font, or just a subset of the characters used in the file. Subsetting ensures that your fonts and font metrics are used at print time by creating a custom font name.

Web fonts from Adobe Fonts can be used on your websites, HTML email campaigns, articles in Google's AMP format, and many other types of projects where web fonts are supported.

When you find a font you like, select View Family to view its family page. Open the Activate Fonts menu. Then select the toggle to activate (or deactivate) a font family, individual font weights, or styles.

Restart the software program

Some programs, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, do not automatically update the font menu when a new font is added. These applications need to be restarted before the new fonts are available for use.
